BTS has again broke a new record with their recent album “Love Yourself: Her.”
On October 13, Gaon Charts released their monthly album chart rankings and numbers for September 2017, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Her” was the number 1 album, it has sold 1,203,533 copies; it was released back on September 18 less than a month ago.
The album sales are the highest in Gaon chart history for a kpop group album (not a repackage album). Back in 2001, g.o.d sold an astonishing 1,441,209 copies of their 4th album.
This makes BTS the first kpop group to have sold 1.2 million copies in 16 years. BTS has also broke a record with their pre stock orders, and over 760,000 copies were sold within the first week of its release.
The group continues to break YouTube records and became the fastest kpop MV to reach 20 million, 30 million, 40 million, 50 million, 60 million, 70 million, 80 million, 90 million, and 100 million views. They also broke international music charts and entered Billboard 100 hits.
