Following the passing of Kim Joo Hyuk, the production staff of “2 Days and 1 Night” has been trying to get a contact of the team ‘Law Of The Jungle” filming in Cook’s island and have finally been able to inform them of the tragic accident.
On November 2, “Law of the Jungle” released an official statement,
“The producers of ‘Law of the Jungle’ tried to get in touch with Jung Joon Young before contacting his agency.
The weather at the filming location has only got worse, thus we were unable to get a reach of them while they were filming. This morning around 8:30 a.m. KST we finally managed to get a hold of Jung Joon Young as soon as the team managed to move to a more accessible location.
The team has left to film for the variety show on October 29 and was supposed to remain there longer but due to nature of the weather, filming was cut short.”
Regarding the return of Jung Joon Young, the staff shared,
“The production staff is currently consoling Jung Joon Young who was very close to the deceased, they’re trying to figure out a way for him to return to Korea as soon as possible.
It won’t be easy because there are no direct flights to korea, but we’ll try our best.”
Meanwhile, Kim Joo Hyuk’s funeral was held on November 2nd today.

The bad news just keep on coming.
I can only imagine the pain Joon Young is feeling right now. There is nothing worse than being thousands of miles apart from your home when something bad happens.
He missed the funeral and mortuary, its just… oh god! Its bad.
The pain he’s feeling right now must be unbearable. Someone he looks up to so much and loves is not here anymore, and he wasn’t able to be there for his funeral.
This entire tragic accident still hasn’t sunk in. I can’t believe he left this world… we lost a great actor.
