one of tvN’s most anticipated Korean 2017 dramas has to be “Hwayugi” has premiered with great numbers. 

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of the drama has achieved an astonishing average viewership ratings of 5.3% and peaked at 7.3%

With 2049 target audience (viewers between the ages of 20 to 49) it rated an average 4.425% and peaked at 5.6%, this made it the tvN drama with the highest ratings for a first episode for 2049 targeted audience. It beat the record previously held by “Reply 1988” which achieved 4.402% followed by “Goblin” at 4.186%.



The drama premiere has caught both national and international fans eyes, everyone was especially excited to see Lee Seung Gi comeback following his military discharge.

My Thoughts

I have checked out the drama premiere, it was amazing, I loved it.

Looks like the drama is headed to be as big as Goblin, I believe it will be the talk of town for its entire run-time. It’s interesting and promising.

I like that the ratings are this high. Hwayugi fighting!
