[BREAKING] T-ara Has Left MBK Entertainment Without Disbanding

T-ara is no longer a part of MBK Entertainment.

On January 3, Hyomin shared the news with T-ara fans through a letter to her Instagram account. She explained that they have left the company after spending 10 years there. She assured fans that they have not disbanded and are thinking of a way to meet fans again as a group in the near future.

Here is a part of Hyomin’s letter to fans:

“I greet you for a long time. Are you doing well?

We have separated from the company that we’ve been a part of for the last 10 years. But do not worry.

I cannot tell you yet for now, but the members will be together anytime and anywhere.

Each of our member has taken time off in a long time, and we decided to try to think of ways we can be with fans in the future. Of course, we will be meeting our fans individually in the future as well.”

She also explained that she’s grateful for all the love she has received. She talked about her excitement and worries about their new start. She also expressed her endless gratitude to fans for their endless support through the 10 years.

She added,

“Fans, I’ll come back with good news for you soon so please don’t worry too much and wait.

I hope that you’ll achieve everything you want in 2018, happy new year!”

새해를 맞아 오랜만에 인사드려요. 잘지내고 계시죠? 저희는 작년을 마지막으로 10년이라는 긴 시간 동안 함께 했던 회사와는 이별을 하게 됐어요. 그치만 걱정은 마세요. 아직 구체적으로는 말씀 드릴 순 없지만 멤버들은 앞으로도 어디있든 언제든 함께 할 수 있을 거에요. 멤버들 각자 오랜만에 자기시간을 갖고 여유도 부려보며, 어떻게 하면 앞으로 팬분들과 함께 할 수 있는 자리를 많이 마련 할 수 있을지 진중히 고민해 보기로 했어요. 물론 개인적으로도 팬 여러분 많이 그리고 자주 찾아 뵐 예정이에요. 누군가로부터 사랑 받는 것이 당연하다고만 생각했던 어렸던 그 때 부터, 사랑 받지 못 할 것을 알면서도 다시 시작 하는 지금까지 많은 가르침을 준 그동안의 시간에 다시 한 번 감사하게 되네요. 또 다른 시작에 설레기도 하지만 10년이란 긴 세월동안 동고동락했던 회사와의 이별에 마치 오랜시간 만난 연인과 헤어진 후 바로 또 다른 사랑을 시작 하기엔 겁이 나듯 조심스러운 부분이 있는것은 사실이에요. 그리고 팬 분들께는 비록 끝은 아니지만 일단 10년이란 시간 아낌없이 응원 해 주신 것에 진심으로 감사하단 말 꼭 드리고 싶었어요. 그리고 모두 고생하셨습니다! 조만간 좋은 소식으로 찾아 올테니 팬 여러분들 너무 염려말고 기다려주세요. 그럼 2018년엔 하시고자 하는 일 모두 이루시고 새해 복 많이 많이 받으세요!

Afterwards, a source from MBK Entertainment confirmed that the group’s contact with the remaining members Hyomin, Eunjung, Qri, and Jiyeon has expired in December 2017, and that they had decided not to disband.
