CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa kicked off his first solo concert tour in Seoul on January 20.

CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa is currently being investigated by the police for suspected preferential treatment by Kyung Hee University for admission in the Graduate program.

The idol has been under a lot of criticism for his involvement in the incident. The idol has since apologized by releasing a handwritten letter to his Instagram. Jung Yong Hwa then fell under more criticism for his decision to go on with his upcoming first solo concert.

The idol addressed this subject and apologized to fans again for the entire controversy, he said,

“I would like to apologize. I went back and forth a lot on whether I should be carrying on with this concert or not. But this concert is a promise I made to my fans, so I’ll do my best to give you happiness.

I am sure that what happens is weighing on you as well but thank you all for coming. I’ve prepared a lot, and I hope that you can return home today with good energy from me.”
