The new drama “Could it Be a Coincidence?” has confirmed its broadcasting details!
The new tvN drama “Could it Be a Coincidence?” is scheduled to air its first episode on July 22nd. It is a romance drama that tells the story of a clumsy and awkward first love meeting again 10 years later and falling in love like fate. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the drama depicts the story of boys and girls in their twenties reuniting as twenty-nine-year-olds and searching for their destiny amidst countless coincidences. It is directed by Song Hyun-wook, known for “Beauty Inside.”
Kim So Hyun plays the role of Lee Hong-joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love. She becomes a person who is skeptical of love after falling in love during her senior year of high school and experiencing the aftermath of a harsh breakup. When she meets Kang Hoo-young (played by Chae Jung Hyeop), who witnesses her past actions after ten years, she faces changes.
Chae Jong Hyeop returns as Kang Hoo-young, a financial planner equipped with good looks and a sharp mind. Kang Hoo-young, who used to walk the red carpet smoothly in both work and love, reunites with his first love after ten years in Korea, seemingly coincidentally but like fate, facing the depths of passionate emotions.
Yoon Ji On plays the role of Bang Joon-ho, a free-spirited writer who wants to turn back time. Kim Da Som hints at her transformation as Kim Hye-ji, a sincere English teacher and Lee Hong-joo’s best friend. She has evolved from being shy during her school days to becoming someone who exudes both beauty and a fiery personality.
