Im Siwan and Yoona friendship is just everything.

The press conference of the upcoming drama “The King Loves” was held on the 3^rd of July, and the main cast Im Siwan, Yoona, Hong Jong Hyun, Oh Min Seok and PD Kim Sang Hyup attended the conference.

Im Siwan is set to enlist in the military on the 11^th of July about a week from now, and was asked about his upcoming impending enlistment.

He expressed his changed thoughts about enlisting saying:

“It’s a relief to know that I don’t have much time left. I would have kept playing and wasting money (if I had more time)”

He also discussed why he isn’t afraid of it saying:

“I am not scared of the military anymore, Yoona said she’ll visit me in the army. She’ll be the first one to visit. I am looking forward to it”

Yoona also added:

“I will be visiting him for sure, and if our drama does well in ratings then me and the cast members will also visit him wearing traditional outfits, it’ll be fun to wear those outfits together when visiting.”

She also added that this wasn’t a ratings promise.

The upcoming drama “The King Loves” is set to air after “Lookout” finishes its run, it will air every Monday-Tuesday starting July 17.

My Thoughts

I am honestly not so excited about this drama….

I just checked out the plot and damn it, its so repetitive. Its about a king and his bodyguard (played by Jong Hyun) they both meet a beautiful rich woman of a rich family. They both end up falling in love with her….

Seems like I’ve seen such a drama a couple of times before. But I will believe in Siwan’s oppa choice and check it out.

I am also not a big fan of Hong Jong Hyun, I just feel like he isn’t the best model-turned-actor out there.

But we will have to wait and see how everything turns out. The drama has 20 long episodes, lets hope that its entertaining enough to get audience coming back for more.

It will take over the time slot of Lookout, which is currently has the lowest ratings of all Monday-Tuesday dramas, so lets hope that they can switch things up.
