The upcoming first Korean AI-Human romance drama has finally completed filming.
The drama started shooting at the end of June and finished at the end of November. The drama tells the story of a rich son played by Seo Kang Joon, the son goes into a coma and his mother sets up a robot (also played by Seo Kang Joon).
The drama will follow the romance that develops between Seo Kang Joon and Gong Seung Yeon characters. The production staff commented,
“We finished shooting with the first snow, we have all four seasons on video. For as long as the production period was, we’re expecting a great drama.”
The drama took two years in planning and the budget is more than 10 billion won (approx. 9.2$ million). Some of the drama filming took place in in the Czech Republic. The production team confirmed that they would be working on the 18 episodes editing with full efforts.
“The drama needs to add CGI and special effects to showcase the high quality cinematography,” said the production staff.
Gong Seung Yeon has perfectly transformed into the role of the bodyguard throughout the drama filming period. Other actors such as Lee Joon Hyuk, Park Hwan Hee, Kim Seong Ryung, Park Young Gyu, Yoo Sung, Kim Won Hae and many others round up the cast.
Some might view it in a bad way, but I do think that Seo Kang Joon fits the role of a robot because of his looks.
It doesn’t mean he sucks at acting, but I feel like with his handsomeness that almost appears unreal and his good acting skills, he makes the great male lead for this drama.
As for Gong Seung Yeon… I don’t know ya’ll~ there is something about her… I’ve seen her act but I feel like she’s weird and emits strange energy, something I haven’t seen from many Korean actresses.
I am shocked that they picked rising actors to lead a drama that cost around 10 million dollars to be honest with you. They seem to be pretty confident that the two can lead the drama well.
The rest of the cast looks amazing.
I have doubts, I won’t lie, but I still believe the drama could be one of 2018’s best if they played their cards right.
The two lead actors can be great if given good role, I would’ve preferred another female lead, but I will watch nonetheless.
The script looks interesting, lets hope that it won’t be a disaster.
