Rising actor Jung Hae In has finally nailed his first-ever leading role, he will be the male lead of the upcoming Friday-Saturday drama JTBC drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.”
The drama will tell the story of two people who were only acquaintances but end up falling in love.
“Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” will be directed by Ahn Pan Seok, the director has previously worked on many projects such as like “Secret Love Affair,” “A Wife’s Credentials,” and “Heard It Through the Grapevine.”
Jung Hae In will take on the role of Seo Joon Hee, he is a character designer at a computer video game company. He returned to Korea for the first time in three years since working overseas. He wasn’t sure whether he’d stay in Korea because of the relatively free life abroad but he changes his mind when he meets Yoon Jin Ah (Son Ye Jin). He tries to not make it obvious that he’s interested but he can’t take his eyes off of her.
Son Ye Jin is taking on the role of Yoon Jin Ah, a store supervisor of a coffee shop business. She lives her life by the motto, “As long as things are good, life is good.” Despite that life motto, she feels empty because she failed to achieve anything during her 30s.
She meets her best friend’s younger brother, who has returned from working overseas, she realizes he’s no longer that immature boy she remembers.
The beloved rising actor has captured viewers hearts in 2017’s “While You Were Asleep” and most recently “Prison Playbook.” This will be the actor’s first lead role in a romance drama, the actor expressed his excitement and revealed that he was drawn to his character and that’s why he chose this project.
He also shared his excitement about working with director Ahn Pan Suk and actress Son Ye Jin for the first time. He said,
“I am excited. I am anticipating working with these two on such a great production, I do feel pressure but I will work hard to make a good drama.”
The upcoming drama is set to air in March following “Misty.”

I am soooooooo excited. I can’t wait! 2018 is going to be JTBC’s year. Jung Hae In is perfect for the character, Son Ye Jin unnie is also an amazing actress. And besides, the director is Ahn Pan Seok, he previously directed a secret love affair and we all know how good that drama was. It also featured noona and a younger male relationship, it was an amazing drama.
I hope this drama will be a huge success so it can further advance the cutie’s career. He deserves all the success in the world. I absolutely adore him~
