Actress Son Ye Jin is finally coming back to the small screen with her first role in five years with the upcoming JTBC weekend drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food.”

The drama tells the story of a man and a woman who go from people who just knew each other to an actual couple. It will be written by screenwriter Kim Eun and directed by Ahn Pan Seok, the director is known for his work in many dramas such as “Secret Love Affair,” and “Heard It Through the Grapevine” and more.

Son Ye Jin is taking on the role of Yoon Jin Ah, a store supervisor of a coffee shop business. She lives her life by the motto, “As long as things are good, life is good.” Despite that life motto, she feels empty because she failed to achieve anything during her 30s.

She meets her best friend’s younger brother, who has returned from working overseas, she realizes he’s no longer that immature boy she remembers. Jung Hae In is still in talks to play the male lead.

Son Ye Jin explained the reason she took on this particular production, she explains she wanted something that is both relatable but not too intense, she also expressed her excitement about working with director Ahn Pan Seok.

The upcoming drama is set to air in March following “Misty.”
