The second day of the 32nd Golden Disc Awards was held on January 11 at Ilsan KINTEX, day 2 of the award ceremony honored artists with the best physical album releases.

IU took home the Daesang award for the first day, while BTS Took home the second Daesang (Grand Prize) for the second day. EXO won a total of four awards on the second day of the event.

My Thoughts

I am happy that NU’EST actually won something, it so nice to see the boys getting recognized for the hard work they put in, “Produce 101” shot them back into the spotlight, they had many hits in 2017.

Its also nice to see Super Junior being awarded as well, they were being outcastwhile the newer third generation Kpop groups took over. Sadly, Siwon wasn’t there to attend the event, it would’ve been nice to see him.

As expected, EXO took home many awards that had to do with popularity, I kinda knew that BTS was going to walk away with the Daesang awards. Congrats to both groups, and of course, Ailee was going to win the best OST award. The song was on the top 10 Korean music chart for a very long time, it was also one of the most talked about OSTs of 2017.
