2018 is already shaping out to be a great year. “Hwayugi,” “Return” and “Mother” are making a splash with their intriguing stories, fans have been enjoying currently airing kdramas.

Sadly, soon enough we will be forced to say goodbye to all of the currently airing dramas, most of them are through their second half, and in March 2018, a set of new dramas are set take over currently airing kdramas time slot.

That Man Oh Soo

One of the first dramas that are set to air in March 2018, OCN’s upcoming romance drama defines the conventional romantic comedy and gives it a funny twist.

The upcoming OCN drama “That Man Oh Soo” will be led by Lee Jong Hyun, Kim So Eun, and Kang Tae Oh.

The drama tells the story of Oh Soo (Lee Jong Hyun) a man in his 20’s and who works as a promising engineer in the IT field, he’s also a cafe owner and a barista. He is both smart and handsome.

He plays the role of cupid for you men and women by using a mysterious pollen. By accident and due to the pollen, he falls in love with Seo Yoo Ri (Kim So Eun). She is a police officer in her 20’s. She has a bright personality and supports her family by herself.

Filming began in December 2017, fans are super excited about the pairing of Kim So Eun and Lee Jong Hyun who has been gaining love and attention for his good acting skills.

“That Man Oh Soo” will take over the Mondays & Tuesdays 21:00 time slot previously occupied by “Short” and will air its first episode in March 5th, 2018.


My Ahjusshi

Probably one of 2018’s most anticipated kdramas, “My Ahjussi” is idol-actress IU comeback drama to the small screen following the well-received kdrama “Scarlet Heart Ryeo.”

The main cast will feature IU, Lee Sun Gyun, Na Moon Hee And Oh Dal Soo and Song Sae Byuk.

The upcoming tvN drama will be directed by Kim Won Suk who has previously worked on “Misaeng” and “Signal.” The script will be written by Park Hae Young who has previously worked on “Another Oh Hae Young.”

The drama will tell the story of three brothers who struggle with their own lives separately, and a woman who is both cold and distant due to the many hardships she faced in her life, together they learn to enjoy and appreciate life and heal their past wounds.





Lee Sun Gyun will play Park Dong Hoon, the second oldest son of the three brothers, he’s an engineer in an architectural company, who always approaches everything in a safe matter. He is quiet but gives his all for the people he cares about.

IU will play Lee Ji An, the cold woman who’s suffered from many hardships in her life. As a part of her job she’s instructed by her boss to find Park Dong Hoon weakness. She ends up falling in love with his warm character, Lee Ji An learns how to trust someone for the first time.

Oh Dal Soo will play Park Sang Hoon, he’s the eldest brother and a middle-aged man who is let go from his firm, he ran two businesses who ended up failing, this leads him to be chased out of his house. He moves in to his mother’s house, despite all the hardships he’s faced with, he continues to search for happiness.

The drama has been surrounded by controversy because of the unlikely pairing between IU and Lee Sun Gyun, they’re both 20 years apart, many netizens felt that the age gap was too big.

“My Ajusshi” takes over the tvN Wed. & Thu. 21:10 time slot previously occupied by “Mother” and will air its first episode on March 21st.


Shall We Live Together

The upcoming KBS drama is led by Han Ji Hye, Lee Sang Woo, Shin So Yool, and Park Kwang Hyun.

“Shall We Live Together” is the upcoming KBS weekend drama that is set to take over the time slot previously occupied by 2017’s highest rated drama “My Golden Life.”

It tells the story of Park Yoo Ha (Han Ji-Hye) a medical student who studied hard in medical school and finished her intern course. She works hard to become a doctor due to her father. Her father is her role model and had raised 4 children by himself.

She is not interested in other people. Suddenly, her father marries a woman rich enough to own a building.

Meanwhile, Jung Eun Tae (Lee Sang Woo) works as a doctor. He was a volunteer abroad but comes back to Korea. Jung Eun Tae is not interested in marriage, similar to his father who puts his medical work over family.

The first episode is set to air on March 10 in KBS2 Saturday & Sunday 19:55 time slot.


Love Game

“Love Game” will be inspired by the famous French novel “Dangerous Liaisons” which was the inspiration for many American films such as films “Cruel Intentions,” “Valmont,” and “Dangerous Liaisons,” as well as the Korean film “Untold Scandal.”

“Love Game” is a seductive romance drama that tells the story of a man and a woman in their twenties who get involved in a serious love game, not knowing that they might be endangering their entire lives.

Woo Do Hwan will play the character of Kwon Shi Hyun, a twenty-year-old homme fatale with killer eyes. He is one of the main players who bets his life to seduce Eun Tae Hee, played by Joy.

Eun Tae Hee is also a twenty-year-old woman who doesn’t think much of love, but after meeting Kwon Shi Hyun, she changes her mind.





MBC has released the first stills of the upcoming drama featuring its main leads Joy and Woo Do Hwan only recently, exciting fans ahead of the upcoming premiere.

Kim Min Jae will play the role of Lee Se Joo, a third-generation chaebol, Moon Ga Young will play the role of Choi Soo Ji, a role model to women in their twenties. Both characters are friend of Woo Do Hwan’s character (Kwon Shi Hyun), due to various changes their relationships begin to deteriorate.

The upcoming drama will take over MBC’s Monday & Tuesday 20:00 time slot previously occupied by “Two Cops.” and is set to air on March 12.


Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch the Sunset

The upcoming MBC drama is led by Han Hye Jin, Yoo In Young, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Kim Tae Hoon.

It tells the story of a married couple facing a crisis involving death. They look back at their past together and recognize the importance of love between them and their family.

Han Hye Jin takes on the role of Nam Hyun Joo, a married woman to her university senior Kim Do Young (Yoon Sang Hyun).

They live a happy life as a husband and wife. Kim Do Young works as an architect and was once thought of as a genius in his field, he refuses to make compromises and stick to his style this causes him difficulties with his job.

One day, his wife asks for a divorce and Kim Do Young’s first love Shin Da Hye (Yu In Young) appears and shake things up.

It will take over the MBC Wednesdays & Thursdays 22:00 time slot previously occupied by “I’m Not a Robot” and will air its first episode on March 14.


Switch: Change the World

Jang Geun Suk will join actress Han Ye Ri in the upcoming SBS drama titled “Switch: Change the World.”

Jang Geun Suk will take on the role of a con artist who fails to become a prosecutor while Han Ye Ri will take on the role of prosecutor Oh Ha Ra.

This marks Jang Geun Suk comeback drama to the small screen since his 2016 drama “Jackpot.” this is actress Han Ye Ri’s first project after the wrap up of JTBC’s popular drama “Age of Youth 2.”

The upcoming drama aims to send a satirical message about justice, as it wavers between good and evil. It will be penned by writer Baek Woon Chul and produced by PD Nam Tae Jin. After consideration SBS decided to air the drama following “Return,” the production plans on finalizing the cast and will begin shooting as soon as possible.

The drama will take over the time slot SBS’ Wednesday & Thursday 22:00 time slot previously occupied by “Return,” and will air its first episode on March 21st.


Good Witch

Actress Lee Da Hae has finally decided on an upcoming drama following her long 4-year hiatus. Her last drama was alongside Lee Dong Wook in “Hotel King.”

The upcoming SBS drama is led by Lee Da Hae, Ryu Soo Young, Shin Hye Jung, and Bae Soo Bin.

Actress Lee Da Hae is taking on two roles for her comeback drama, she will play two polar opposite twin sisters, Cha Sun Hee who is married to Bong Cheon Dae (Bae Soo Bin), her husband is currently unemployed.

Her twin sister, Cha Do Hee works as a flight attendant, due to a sticky unexpected situation, Cha Sun Hee has to pretend to be her twin sister, she then meets co-pilot Song Woo Jin (Ryu Soo Young).

“Good Witch” takes over the SBS Saturdays 20:45 time slot previously occupied by “Bravo My Life,” its set to air its first episode on March 3rd.


Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food

The upcoming JTBC drama is led by Son Ye Jin, Jung Hae In, Gil Hae Yeon, Oh Man Suk, Jang So Yeon, and many others.

The drama tells the story of two people who were only acquaintances but end up falling in love.

Jung Hae In will take on the role of Seo Joon Hee, he is a character designer at a computer video game company, while Son Ye Jin is taking on the role of Yoon Jin Ah, a store supervisor of a coffee shops business.





“Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” will be directed by Ahn Pan Seok, the director has previously worked on many projects such as like “Secret Love Affair,” and “Heard It Through the Grapevine.”

The upcoming drama will air after “Misty” concludes, its set to air some time in March, no exact date has been determined so far.
