Lee Jong Suk Is Returning To The Small Screen With Short SBS Drama

Fans of Lee Jong Suk will be able to see the actor briefly in the upcoming SBS drama “Hymn of Death.” An SBS official confirmed on March 12.

“Hymn of Death” is a two part series that tells the story of Korea’s first soprano Yun Sim Deok, the drama was named “Hymn of Death” after her most popular songs. It will differ from the previous musical and film adaptation and focus on the tragic love story between Yun Sim Deok and playwright Kim Woo Jin, it will also be focusing on the work of Kim Woo Jin, something that hasn’t been focused much on before.

Lee Jong Suk is taking on the role of Kim Woo Jin, the genius playwright. PD Park Soo Jin expressed his love and gratitude to Lee Jong Suk for choosing to appear in the drama without receiving a guaranteed fee.

It was revealed through an official statement by SBS that Lee Jong Suk will not receive a guaranteed fee for his appearance and will simply be making that appearance to show his love for short dramas and support PD Park Soo Jin who previously worked with Lee Jong Suk on “While You Were Asleep.”
