Today happens to be one of the biggest girl groups in Kpop second anniversary, YG Entertainment one and only group BLACKPINK is celebrating its second anniversary. The girls debuted on August 8, 2016 with songs “BOOMBAYAH” and “Whistle.”
They are now one of the biggest Kpop girl groups having debuted with smashing success nationally and overseas. BLACKPINK became one of the faces representing Kpop internationally.
Their most recent comeback with the title track “DDU-DU DDU-DU” broke countless records and set many for others to follow. “DDU-DU DDU-DU” became one of the most viewed YouTube music videos in the first 24 hours ever, the title track also achieved a certified all-kill after its release in Korea.
The song also became the highest charting Kpop girl group song debuting at No. 55 on Billboard’s Hot 100 beating Wonder Girls previous record.

Yang Hyun Suk also shared two posts to celebrate the girls’ second debut anniversary, in his posts he captioned,
“Girls that grew so much in only 2 years …
BLACKPINK makes me look forward to next 2 years to come.”
Jisoo also took to instagram to thank the fans for the past wonderful two years, she expressed her undying love for the fans.
