On October 20, it was revealed that Red Velvet’s Joy injured herself and had to step out of her group’s first concert due to her sudden injury.
She cried while telling fans of the news and apologized to them over and over again.
Her group had to carry on with the concert without her.
Shortly after that, SM Entertainment released a full statement addressing the injury and talking in more details about what happened.
They wrote,
“Joy felt pain in her shoulder during Singapore concert. After asking the audience for their understanding, they searched for a local hospital and she went there, and she was immediately diagnosed and treated by the medical staff who reported that the muscles were strained and caused pain. She is going to get a thorough examination after coming back to Korea tomorrow.”
