The end of 2018 is near and this means that awards season has begun. Kpop fans are excited about The Grammy’s next year because of BTS.

There have been many discussions of BTS’s eligibility to compete with American and other international artists for a Grammy.

Forbes has recently explained why BTS has been allegedly ruled ineligible for the rookie award at the Grammy’s.

According to Forbes, a source close to the awards told them that BTS won’t be receiving a nomination for the Best New Artist and the reason is that of the awards ceremony (Recording Academy) guidelines.

To get a nomination, the act “must have released a minimum of five singles/tracks or one album, but no more than 30 singles/tracks or three albums in their career to date.”

BTS has been active for a while now and have certainly surpassed those guidelines. However, this doesn’t mean that BTS has been ruled out of other awards.

The anticipation is at an all-time high, the public will only find out about nominations list when it’s released on December 5.

Do you think BTS will be able to snag a nomination for next year’s Grammy’s?
