It has been reported that Jason, a member of the mixed-gender trio group 2LSON, has recently passed away. He was 43 years old.

Noel, another member of 2LSON, confirmed the news to Sports Chosun on the 26th of June, stating, “It is true that Jason, a member of 2LSON, passed away suddenly due to a heart attack while he was in Thailand on the 12th for a break.” He added, “His funeral was held on the 17th.”

2LSON is a producing team composed of composers Jason, LE, and Noel, and they debuted in 2011. They have released many hit songs, including their first single “Hocus-Pocus” and “The Lady” featuring Bumkey, “Emotion,” “Slow Jam,” and “I’m In Love.” In 2020, they released a new song called “Always” with guest vocalist Sun-an.

Jason, who was a composer and music producer, studied composition at Berklee College of Music and made his debut as a composer with LE and Jason as 2LSON. Since then, he has been actively involved in various musical activities, including composing.

Noel expressed his shock and condolences about the sudden news. He mentioned that they had been out of touch due to their individual professions and it took him time to gather the courage to deliver the news. However, he wanted to inform the public as Jason, who was a beloved composer, had received much love.

Noel shared his sadness on his personal account, along with a photo of 2LSON. He wrote, “I can’t believe it. I heard the news that the member of 2LSON, who I spent 10 years with like a brother, has passed away. Jason hyung, who was both a musical senior and an older brother to me, constantly put in effort for my musical growth. He was the first button of my music. I wanted to have a drink and reminisce about the past, but I was too late. I’m sorry and thank you. Rest in peace, R.I.P.”

May his soul rest in peace.
