Singer and actor Ok Taecyeon has been cast in a Japanese Netflix BL series.

Ok Taecyeon’s agency 51K revealed on the 28th of June, “Ok Taecyeon has been confirmed to appear in the Japanese Netflix series ‘Soulmate,’ which is currently being produced with the goal of airing next year.”

“Soulmate” is a story about ‘Ryu’ (played by Isomura Hayato) who leaves everything behind and leaves for Japan, and coincidentally saves his life with the help of ‘Yohan’ (Ok Taecyeon) at a foreign church. They form a connection and spend 10 years healing each other’s pain and comforting each other. The series is set in Berlin, Seoul, and Tokyo.

Yohan, played by Ok Taecyeon, is a character who is unable to take care of his own wounds and gradually realizes the meaning of love and life after meeting Ryu, a Japanese man.

Ok Taecyeon said, “I chose this project because I was drawn to the lingering effects of Yohan’s shortcomings and pain. I am working hard to portray the character sincerely, balancing diet and boxing practice during filming.”

Are you excited to see Taecyeon in this upcoming Netflix series?
