Actor Woo Chang Soo Passes Away At 51
Actor Woo Chang Soo has passed away. He was 51 years old.
Woo Chang Soo died on the 16th of January after battling an illness. His burial site will be at the municipal crematorium.
Born in 1975, the late Woo Chang Soo graduated from the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment at Suwon Science College and appeared on various musical and theater stages. He also worked as a director and devoted himself to nurturing younger talents as a professor in the Model Acting Arts Department at Seoul Hoseo Arts and Practical College.
On his personal account, records of his fight against illness remain, including posts from last October such as “Woke up early in the morning and headed to the hospital. Today is six specimen tests. They’re drawing six vials,” and “The dizziness has gotten worse a few days before my hospital appointment, so I tried to postpone today’s visit, but it would be delayed by about three weeks. I arrived at the hospital safely, finished my appointment well, and will return safely.”
Following the news of his passing, messages of remembrance from acquaintances have continued on his final post. Actress Choi Ga In wrote a tribute saying, “You lived more fiercely than anyone, yet you left yourself behind in the hearts of so many people. A senior worthy of being called a true senior,” and added, “You lived an overwhelmingly beautiful life, and since there are those of us who will remember it, let’s meet again.”
