Scene-Stealer Kdrama Actress Park Kyung Hye has surprised fans with her living conditions!
On the most recent MBC’s variety show I Live Alone episode, actress Park Kyung Hye drew attention by sharing the realistic daily life of someone four months into living alone.
Park Kyung Hye introduced her studio apartment of about 6 pyeong (approximately 20㎡) located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu.
She revealed that she lives there with a deposit of 50 million won(about $34,000) and a monthly rent of 590,000 won (about $400), including maintenance and parking fees. She said, “It’s my first time living alone, and my first time finding a place,” as she showed her first home.
Regarding the rust and mold traces found around the house, she explained, “The previous tenant didn’t manage the humidity well, so there are quite a few areas with rust and mold,” adding, “There were parts I didn’t properly check when I first moved in.”
When Kian84 asked, “You’ve done many projects—couldn’t you move to a bigger place?” she replied, “That was the budget I had. I wanted a place where I could live without feeling pressured by realistic financial burdens.”
She also shared that she has been working part-time at a café for two years. Park Kyung Hye said, “It’s been two years since I started my part-time job. When I don’t have projects, there’s no fixed income, so I thought it would be good to have opportunities to earn money.”
She added, “Many of my coworkers at the café are also actors, so we help each other out.”
Fans have expressed their shock at her living conditions, with some asking why an actress who has been in the industry for 15 years is not being paid enough to be able to live in better conditions.Park Kyung Hye starred in several hit kdramas across the years and is known for being a scene-stealer.
