Famous Actor’s Drama Records Lowest Viewership Among Weekend Miniseries This Week

Ji Sung‘s JTBC weekend drama “The Apartment Job” recorded the lowest ratings among weekend miniseries currently on air this week, even as its latest episode delivered major twists.

Episode 8 of “The Apartment Job,” which aired on August 2, recorded a nationwide average rating of 5.4% according to Nielsen Korea — the lowest among the weekend dramas currently airing. On the same day, tvN’s “Spooky in Love,” starring Park Eun Bin, recorded 6.0%, while KBS2’s “The Husband,” starring Namgoong Min, recorded 7.2%. MBC’s “A Bonafide Killer,” starring Gong Hyo Jin, which premiered on August 1, has already surpassed 8.0% by its second episode.

Despite the modest ratings, Episode 8 kept fans hooked with major twists: Park Hae Gang (Ji Sung) clashed with Lee Chung Won (Park Byung Eun) over a secret payoff tied to the building’s dark dealings, while Jang Suk Jin (Moon So Ri) was revealed to be a rental tenant herself — a twist that upended the building’s simmering tension between homeowners and renters and ultimately saw her elected president of the tenants’ council with Park Hae Gang’s help.

“The Apartment Job” continues airing Saturdays and Sundays on JTBC.
