Famous Actress Talks About Doing Nude Scenes At The Age Of 21 And Her Philosophy On Acting
Actress Bae Doona revealed her personal acting philosophy.
On the 27th of April, a video titled “World-class actress Bae Doona came to promote a movie but ended up just sharing her worries” was released on Uhm Jung Hwa’s YouTube Channel.
Uhm Jung Hwa said to Bae Doona, “When you act in unfamiliar, unrealistic subjects, you make it feel natural for the viewers. I think that’s your strength.”
Bae Doona emphasized, “When I act, I think about just one thing. It’s not about wanting to do well — I just think that I need to express the feeling that this character could really exist somewhere.”
Regarding moments when she felt fear, she shared, “There were so many. It was never easy. Choosing something easy seems like it would be easy, but there’s a trap in that too, so it’s not. Even if I think I can do it well, there are often times when I can’t.”
She then opened up about the nude scenes she did when she was a young actress, she said, “In the early days of my debut, I was afraid of exposure. But because I dealt with exposure scenes and nude scenes at the age of 21, I think I adapted quickly. Other than that, I’m not afraid of anything now. I feel like I can do anything I’m asked to do.”
She continued, “The more a director firmly tells their story, the more specific the directions I receive, and when I fulfill them, I feel an incredible sense of joy and exhilaration,” expressing her love for acting.
Meanwhile, Bae Doona’s upcoming movie Virus is set to premiere on May 7.
