Famous Veteran Actress Bae Doona has commented on revealing her relationship status and why she’s against it!
On the 16th of December, the YouTube channel Sad Brother Shin Dong Yeop featured a video with Bae Doona and Lee Soo Hyun, stars of the Coupang Play series Family Plan.
During the interview, Jung Ho Chul asked Bae Doona, “I heard that you learned how to ride a bicycle from actor Won Bin.”
Bae Doona confirmed, saying, “That’s correct. When I was 20, I worked with Won Bin on the drama Kwangki (Madness). At that time, I didn’t know how to ride a two-wheeled bicycle.”
She continued, “When I mentioned this to the director, they incorporated a scene into the episode where Won Bin teaches me how to ride. Now, I’m so good at riding bicycles that I even commute on one.”
Bae Doona also shared her thoughts on public relationships, explaining, “While one might choose to reveal their relationship voluntarily, as an actor, it’s important to take on diverse roles. Being in the spotlight for personal matters or permanently associating someone with me could hinder immersion in my craft.”
She added, “If my name were preceded by someone else’s name instead of ‘actress Bae Doona’ in an article, it would hurt my feelings.”
Shin Dong Yeop asked her, “As a senior actor, would your advice to someone like Lee Soo Hyun, who just debuted, be to never let their relationships be discovered?”
Bae Doona responded, “That’s right. I’d advise not to get caught but to have plenty of experiences.”
When Shin Dong Yeop asked Bae Doona how she would feel about being cast in the same project as a former partner, she replied, “If it happens, there’s nothing you can do. It’s completely separate from personal matters.”
Shin Dong Yeop jokingly commented, “Considering the people you’ve dated, hasn’t there been relatively little public disclosure?” to which Bae Doona humorously agreed, “Far too little,” sparking laughter.
Later, after having a few drinks, Bae Doona and Lee Soo Hyun showcased their dancing skills. Their confident moves in front of the cameras made Shin Dong Yeop burst out laughing repeatedly.
