Popular Kdrama Co-Stars Turn Out To Have Been Dating For A While, Surprise Fans With Wedding Announcement
Girl’s Day member and actress Bang Minah and actor On Joo Wan are getting married!
On July 4, Bang Minah’s agency SM C&C announced, “Bang Minah and On Joo Wan developed their love from a long-time connection. The two have decided to spend the rest of their lives together and will be getting married this November.”
They added, “We would appreciate your warm support and congratulations as the two prepare to begin this new chapter in their lives.”
On Joo Wan’s agency Haewadal Entertainment also confirmed the news, stating, “Please send your warm blessings and encouragement to the couple as they begin their second lives as husband and wife.”
Bang Minah and On Joo Wan first met as senior and junior colleagues in the entertainment industry through the 2016 SBS drama “Beautiful Gong Shim.” They reunited in 2021 while working on the musical “The Days,” and it’s reported that this is when their relationship began to grow closer. With no prior dating rumors, their sudden wedding announcement has come as a pleasant surprise, drawing in waves of congratulatory messages.
According to both agencies, the wedding will be held privately in the presence of close family members only.
The couple reportedly grew close while working together in the 2021 musical “The Days.”
Bang Minah recently appeared in the Wavve drama “History of Losers,” while On Joo Wan is currently starring in the musical “Mahagonny.”
Bang Minah debuted in 2010 as a member of Girl’s Day and began acting in 2011. She built her acting career with roles in dramas like “Beautiful Gong Shim,” “Absolute Boyfriend,” and “Check Out the Event.” Her performance in the film “Snowball” earned her several awards, including the Rising Star Award at the New York Asian Film Festival, the Best New Actress Award from the Busan Film Critics Association, and the Rookie Actress of the Year Award at the Women in Film Korea Festival.
On Joo Wan made his acting debut in 2002 through the SBS drama “Rustic Period.” He gained recognition in 2003 through the KBS reality show “Romance Wars.” His notable works include “The Penthouse,” and “Beautiful Gong Shim.”
