Choi Tae Joon has shared his feelings on his new drama and answered a question about his wife, Park Shin Hye!

On the afternoon of September 25, a press conference was held at The Saint in Sindorim, Guro District, Seoul, for KBS2’s new weekend drama Iron Family. Cast members Choi Tae Joon, Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Park Ji Young, Shin Hyun Joon, Kim Hye Eun, and Yang Hye Ji were in attendance, along with the director.

Iron Family is a romantic black comedy about the Darym family, who run the “Integrity Laundry” and iron money instead of clothes, leading to comedic and chaotic situations.

Choi Tae Joon portrays Cha Tae Woong, a character who leaves an orphanage at 18 with 5 million won in settlement money. However, he’s too hesitant to spend it, leading him to wander aimlessly until he meets Go Bong Hee (Park Ji Young’s character), who shows him warmth for the first time.

During the press conference, Choi Tae Joon talked about his preparation for the role, including losing weight for a shirtless scene, and joked that he wanted to make sure Geum Sae Rok’s character, Darym, would feel excited by the scene.

Choi Tae Joon also expressed nervousness about talking about his wife, actress Park Shin Hye, for the first time at such an event. He said, “I have never talked about (Park Shin Hye) in a place like this before, so I’m nervous,” adding, “Rather than exchanging any particular conversations, we are supporting each other, and she told me to ‘work hard.'”

The couple are now competing in similar timeslots, with Park Shin Hye currently starring in The Judge from Hell.

The 36-episode Iron Family will premiere on September 28 at 8 PM.
