Known Korean Actress Shocks With Divorce Announcement 6 Years After Marriage To Korean-American Businessman
Actress Clara has divorced after six years of marriage.
On the 17th of October, her Agency stated, “Clara completed a mutual divorce procedure in August. After long and careful discussions with her spouse, this conclusion was reached.”
The agency added, “Although the mutual divorce was finalized in August, we delayed sharing the news to carefully consider both families’ positions and seek mutual understanding. We ask for your understanding and continued support for Clara’s efforts as an actress.”
Clara also expressed through the agency, “I feel sorry to share such disappointing news with everyone who has supported me.”
Clara married Samuel Hwang, a Korean-American businessman six years her senior, in 2019. Their newlywed home was a 76-pyeong (≈252 m²) apartment in Songpa-gu, Seoul, reportedly purchased for about 8.1 billion won [$5,697,284].
Clara has been active in the Chinese-speaking entertainment industry, appearing in films such as Beauties in Trouble 2, The Wandering Earth 2, and Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings.
