Popular Korean Actress Shockingly Confirms Divorce From Husband Of 5 Years

Actress Claudia Kim (Soo Hyun) has finalized a mutual divorce after five years of marriage.

On September 23, YG Entertainment released an official statement confirming, “After careful consideration, Claudia Kim and her spouse have decided to end their marriage through amicable discussions and have completed the divorce proceedings.”

Claudia Kim married businessman Cha Min Geun, who is three years her senior, in December 2019 and welcomed their daughter in September 2020. However, the couple has now decided to part ways after five years of marriage.

The agency further requested, “Although they are now on separate paths, they continue to support each other. As this decision was made after thorough discussions, we kindly ask for restraint in speculative reporting and malicious comments.”

Cha Min Geun, a Korean-American businessman, held notable positions at WeWork, including General Manager of WeWork Korea, and currently serves as CEO of DnKorea.

Meanwhile, Soo Hyun recently starred in the JTBC drama “The Atypical Family” and is set to appear in the film A Normal Family, which will be released on October 9.

The news surprised fans since the former couple had only been married for five years.
