EXO’s Kyungsoo To Reportedly Return to the Small Screen With New Zombie Drama “We Are the Zombies”

Actor EXO’s Kyungsoo might be returning to the small screen.

Kyungsoo is reportedly taking on the lead role of Kim In jong in the new drama “We Are the Zombies,” taking on a human comedy unlike typical zombie productions.

“We Are the Zombies” is set in a large shopping mall that has been sealed off due to an unidentified virus outbreak, telling the story of the people left behind inside as they live together. Rather than focusing on the fight against zombies, the drama centers on the daily lives, relationships, recovery, and hope of those trapped in one space.

Kyungsoo’s character, Kim In jong, gets caught up in a sudden zombie outbreak after visiting the mall with friends. Having drifted between various part-time jobs just to get by, he hates anything troublesome but has an offbeat charm and a very human side to him.

Attention is turning to what kind of new face Kyungsoo, who has shown a wide range of acting across various genres, will reveal through Kim In jong. He’s expected to portray a realistic young man who keeps clashing with and forming bonds with others even in the midst of crisis.

Kyungsoo, who debuted as a member of the group EXO in 2012, has steadily built his presence in acting alongside his music career. He’s cemented his standing as an actor through dramas like “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” “100 Days My Prince,” and more, and films like “My Annoying Brother,” “Swing Kids,” and the “Along with the Gods” series.

He has continued to move between film and drama work recently as well, and since he’s shown he can handle everything from genre thrillers to romance and comedy, expectations are high for the new transformation he’ll show in “We Are the Zombies.”
