Go Hyun Jung And Jang Dong Yoon Confirmed To Lead 2025 SBS Drama
Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon are set to return to the small screen with the SBS drama “Mantis.”
On the 23rd of July, SBS announced that Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon have been confirmed to star in “Mantis,” which is slated to air in 2025.
“Mantis” is a crime thriller about the son of a female serial killer, nicknamed “Mantis” for brutally murdering five men 20 years ago. The police officer son collaborates with his estranged mother to catch a criminal who is mimicking her past crimes. The drama is a remake of a French series of the same name.
Go Hyun Jung will play the role of the serial killer who murdered five men two decades ago. She is expected to captivate viewers with her intense and meticulous acting in this high-stakes thriller.
Jang Dong Yoon will portray the police officer son, who is determined to solve the copycat murders. His transformation into this character is highly anticipated, and the dynamic between the serial killer mother and her police officer son is expected to be a highlight of the series.
The drama will be directed by Byun Young Joo, known for her sensuous direction in films such as “Ardor,” “Flying Boys,” and “Helpless.” The script will be penned by Lee Young Jong, who has written several hit movies including “The Black House,” “Private Eye,” “Flu,” and the box office hit “Spring in Seoul.”
“Mantis” is scheduled to air on SBS in 2025.
