Actress Go Hyun Jung opened up about her changed life.

On the 26th of August, Go Hyun Jung appeared on the YouTube channel “Salon Drip” and shared various stories with Jang Do Yeon.

That day, Go Hyun Jung recalled her divorce and the birth of her two children, saying, “I was only 32, which is a really young age, but I got divorced and had two kids. At that time, I thought I was really old. I thought I had already experienced everything, so when I met people, I couldn’t meet them as my true self and acted as if I knew it all.”

She continued, “After getting seriously ill five years ago, I thought, ‘I shouldn’t get too stressed, and I should meet people as myself.’” She revealed that her health issues made her change the way she viewed life and relationships.

Go Hyun Jung also confessed about her introverted personality. She said, “It’s hard for me when people come on too strong or are overly high-energy. Even when people contact me too often, it’s overwhelming.” She added, “Isn’t it true that people’s lives go through ups and downs? When I was doing well, many people approached me, but when I went downhill, they all disappeared, and then came back again when things got better. Even with people who say they really like me, I hesitate.”

She also revealed the reason she now limits alcohol consumption due to health and shared behind stories about her past ‘heavy drinker image.’ She said, “After collapsing five years ago, I wasn’t able to drink anymore. Now, I only drink about half a glass of white wine. I have an obsession with cleanliness. So, at wrap-up parties when glasses were exchanged, I couldn’t drink from a glass with lip marks. That’s why I carried a soju bottle and toasted directly from the bottle, but from a third person’s perspective, it looked like I was chugging it straight from the bottle.”

Meanwhile, Go Hyun Jung is set to appear in the upcoming SBS drama “Mantis: Murderer’s Outing,” which premieres on September 5.
