Go Min Si Drops Out Of The Highly Anticipated Hong Sisters Drama Amid Bullying Allegations, Agency Explains Why
Go Min Si who was originally scheduled to join Lee Do Hyun as his co-star in the highly anticipated Hong sisters drama has dropped out of the project!
On the 26th of June, Go Min Si’s agency Mystic Story confirmed to TenAsia, “It is true that Go Min Si has decided not to appear in the drama. Since the school bullying controversy has not been fully resolved, we decided it would be best to step away from filming and prioritize addressing the issue. After discussing with the production team, we reached a mutual agreement for her to drop out.”
Go Min Si had previously been embroiled in a school bullying controversy last month. At the time, the drama’s production company, IMAGINUS, stated they trusted the actress and saw no immediate reason to change the casting. They explained that production would only begin in earnest after their other projects were completed, and that they were taking a cautious approach given the schedule.
Ultimately, the rising actress Shin Shi A will be stepping in to take the role initially set for Go Min Si. “Grand Galaxy Hotel” is written by the famed Hong Sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran) and will star Lee Do Hyun, who has already confirmed his participation.
“Grand Galaxy Hotel” is scheduled to begin filming in the second half of this year.
