Famous Actress Publicly Expresses Frustration Over The Delay Of Her Upcoming Film Release
Actress Gong Hyo Jin has expressed her frustration over the delayed release of her upcoming film.
On August 1, Gong Hyo Jin reshared a post uploaded by actress Park So Dam on her Instagram Story. The shared photo featured Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Jung Eun, Park So Dam, and actress Lee Yeon standing together — all of whom star in the film “Gyeongju Trip.”
“Gyeongju Trip” is a revenge road movie about a mother who, after losing her youngest daughter and hearing that the perpetrator has been released, sets out for Gyeongju with her three daughters to take revenge.
Gong Hyo Jin captioned the post: “When are we releasing… Anyway, congratulations to mom on the premiere of Zombie Daughter first,” showing support for Lee Jung Eun’s film. She added, “Gyeongju Trip, an upcoming release. A story that’ll turn your insides upside down — a mom and her three daughters. A revenge tale that makes you wonder. Aren’t you curious?”
“Gyeongju Trip” began filming in May 2024 and wrapped up on August 12, 2024. It is currently awaiting release. However, Zombie Daughter, which was filmed later — from August 29 to December 20 — was released first, premiering on July 30, ahead of Gyeongju Trip.
Meanwhile, Gong Hyo Jin made her debut in 1999 with the film Memento Mori. In 2019, she won the Grand Acting Award for her role in the KBS drama “When the Camellia Blooms.” In 2022, she married singer Kevin Oh, who is 10 years her junior, in a private ceremony in New York. Kevin Oh enlisted in the military in December 2022 and was discharged in June 2025.
