Famous Actress Reveals Plans To Move To The U.S. Following Husband’s Military Discharge

Actress Gong Hyo Jin has revealed that she plans to live in the U.S. after her husband Kevin Oh completes his military service.

Recently, a video titled “What does my Instagram ID mean? My favorite fashion? Gong Hyo Jin’s Q&A” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘For Now, Gong Hyo Jin.’

In the video, Gong Hyo Jin answered questions sent in by fans. One asked, “I’m curious about your 2025 travel plans. What’s your personal travel style like?”

She responded, “I already have travel plans for 2025. I’m going to Belgium. From Belgium, I’ll head to Germany, then Amsterdam, and finally enter New York. That’s the goal for this trip.”

The production team commented, “That’s quite a long trip,” to which Gong Hyo Jin replied, “Yes, it’s not like I’ll be there for a whole week, but I want to visit a few places I haven’t been to yet. After that, I’ll head to the U.S. to start preparing. I need to get ready to live there.”

When asked whether that timing aligned with Kevin Oh’s discharge from the military, Gong Hyo Jin said, “I’m going as soon as he’s discharged.”

As for her travel style, Gong Hyo Jin shared, “I’m an ENFP, so I don’t really go to famous tourist spots. I’ve been to New York so many times, but I still haven’t seen the Statue of Liberty. Should I go see it? I’m not the type to go sightseeing—I like to wander around casually like a local and just stay in one neighborhood.”

Gong Hyo Jin married singer Kevin Oh, who is 10 years younger than her, in New York in October 2022. Kevin Oh enlisted in December 2023 and is scheduled to be discharged this June.
