Beloved Actress Announces Pregnancy 3 Months After Her Marriage At Her New Drama Press Conference
Actress Gong Min Jeong personally announced her pregnancy.
On December 2, during the press conference for the KBS Joy drama “Sorry Not Sorry” (written by Jo Yujin, Choi Ryong, and Min Jiyoung; directed by Min Jiyoung), held at Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Gong revealed, “Just like my character in the drama, I am currently pregnant.”
Having tied the knot with actor Jang Jaeho this past September, Gong Min Jeong surprised everyone with her pregnancy announcement during the event. In the drama, she plays a charismatic working mom in the office who becomes a pushover among suburban moms. Gong shared, “I’m pregnant, just like my character, and expecting to give birth soon.”
She added, “When I first received the role, my character wasn’t written as a pregnant woman, but the writers and production team adjusted it to reflect my situation. I am grateful to be part of the project and to represent expecting mothers.”
Gong also expressed, “I’d be grateful for your congratulations. As I near my due date, I’ve been working in a supportive and stable environment. There were many relatable moments, and I wanted to express the emotions unique to pregnant women.”
Gong Min Jeong and Jang Jaeho gained attention for their real-life romance after portraying a couple divorcing due to infidelity in the drama Marry My Husband.
