Famous Korean Celebrity Couple Explain Why They’re Not Having A 3rd Child; The Reason Melted Fans’ Hearts
Actor Jo Jung Suk expressed his love for his wife, singer Gummy, while honestly stating that they do not plan to have a third child.
On the 29th of May, a video was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Channel Jo Jung Suk.” In the video, Jo Jung Suk invited Gummy as the first guest and shared lighthearted conversations as a real-life couple. They talked about parenting, music, and married life.
When asked about the possibility of a third child, Gummy said: “People around us often say that after having a second child, we should also have a third.”
Jo Jung Suk responded: “I’ve come to think that my wife’s health is more important than even having children.”
He continued: “Watching her go through recovery after giving birth broke my heart a lot. I realized that being a woman is truly difficult.”
He added: “I once heard that childbirth is comparable to a major car accident in terms of physical impact. After seeing it firsthand, I felt that having a third child would be difficult.”
Gummy also shared how her daily life has changed after becoming a mother of two: “Sometimes I even cry because I miss my children so much.”
Jo Jung Suk added: “Gummy’s love for her children is beyond imagination. It was the same with our first child and also with the second.”
The couple also talked about their eldest daughter, Ye Won, and shared a funny moment. Jo Jung Suk said: “I told Ye Won that she needs to eat well to grow taller, and she told me, ‘Dad, you’re short.’” He added with laughter: “Then she also said, ‘Dad may be short, but he’s handsome.’”
Jo Jung Suk and Gummy married in 2018 and have two daughters together.
