“Gyeongseong Creature 2” Cast Talks 2nd Season, What Makes It Different + Han So Hee Addresses Recent Private Life Controversies
The Netflix series “Gyeongseong Creature” Season 2 returns after 79 years have passed.
On the morning of the 25th of September, a press conference for Netflix’s original series Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 was held at a hotel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Jeong Dong Yoon, actors Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Lee Mu Saeng, and Bae Hyun Sung attended the event.
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 is set in 2024 in Seoul and tells the story of Tae Sang (played by Park Seo Joon), who resembles Ho Jae (also played by Park Seo Joon), and Chae Ok (played by Han So Hee), who survived the spring of Gyeongseong. The two uncover the unresolved ties, fates, and ill-fated connections of Gyeongseong.
Park Seo Joon plays the role of Jang Ho Jae, the deputy director of the private agency Bugang Corporation, who handles any request for money. He closely resembles Jang Tae Sang, the head of the best pawnshop in Gyeongseong, Geumokdang. Park is expected to immerse viewers with his detailed portrayal of Ho Jae, who has a different charm from Tae Sang in 1945.

Regarding the changes in Season 2, Park Seo Joon said, “Since we are returning to the modern era, I thought it was necessary to change the styling to clearly show the differences. The historical background has changed, and the way I express myself has also changed according to the new job.” He also expressed confidence in the much flashier and action-packed scenes.
Han So Hee, who plays Yun Chae Ok, a character who hasn’t aged and is still alive after swallowing “Najin,” said, “I cannot be caught if my identity is revealed. Therefore, I had to live like a shadow, so my styling inevitably became darker overall,” addressing the differences from Season 1.
Han So Hee further raised expectations by hinting at more dazzling action scenes than in Season 1, saying, “This time, I tried wire action for the first time, and I lost my fear of heights. Since the action involves superhuman strength, the movements had to be quicker and more precise. There was more practice and coordination involved.”
Unlike Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, Lim Mu Saeng newly joined the cast for Season 2. Park Seo Joon praised him, saying, “I got goosebumps seeing his perfect delivery and expressions, which were beyond imagination. I thought that I just needed to do my best.” Lim Mu Saeng responded, “I also thought, ‘Let’s just do well.’ Even though I knew about their action scenes, I was still surprised,” adding to the friendly atmosphere.
Bae Hyun Sung, who worked with the senior actors, expressed his gratitude, saying, “They guided me in detail, even down to the smallest parts during filming. I thought it was amazing how they didn’t lose their emotions while performing intense action scenes. I learned a lot from them.”
Han So Hee also addressed her personal controversies, including dating rumors and her mother’s imprisonment, which occurred between Season 1 and Season 2. She said, “I always hope that people watch with a positive view. I think personal matters should not affect my professional work. I hope everyone enjoys watching Season 2. I’m confident it will be fun and entertaining,” she said, asking for much love and anticipation.

Meanwhile, Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 will be released on Netflix on the 27th.
