The Two Famous Korean Actors Leading The Adaptation Of The American Movie “The Intern”
Actors Han So Hee and Choi Min Sik will be starring together in the movie “Intern” (directed by Kim Do Young).
According to the official website of the Korean Film Council, Choi Min Sik and Han So Hee have been confirmed as the leads of “Intern.” The film is currently in pre-production and is set to begin filming next month.
Han So Hee will take on the role of Jules Ostin, originally played by Anne Hathaway. She will portray the CEO of an online fashion shopping mall who achieved success just one year after launching her business.
Choi Min Sik will play Ben Whittaker, a role originally portrayed by Robert De Niro. He is a senior intern in his 70s who brings a strong presence as a warm advisor.
The original film, directed by Nancy Meyers in 2015, was a hit in Korea as well, drawing 3.61 million viewers.
The film is a human comedy that follows the story of a passionate 30-something CEO, Jules Ostin, who hires 70-year-old Ben Whittaker as an intern.
Meanwhile, Choi Min Sik is preparing for the release of the films “In Our Prime” and “No Other Way,” and more. Han So Hee will meet audiences through her upcoming film “Project Y.”
