Full translation of Han So Hee’s blog post:

“This year is inevitably coming to an end again. Recently, I spontaneously bought six potted plants. I’m not sure why—perhaps I thought bringing life into my home might help us grow together in a little greener way.
How was your year-end? Are you lingering in the shadows of the bright lights of the night, or patiently waiting for the next year to come?
The voices and news of our times weigh heavily on what should feel like a trivial new year for me. All I can do is offer a few words of condolence and comfort, which leaves me feeling powerless and, at times, resentful of the blameless sky.
I hope our next year begins with a small resolve to simply live each day well, rather than with worries or concerns.
I’ve been doing well, reflecting on myself, thinking about my narrow perspective, my mistakes, and the self-reproach that follows. I’ve been nurturing countless emotions within me, but I still feel far from enough. Some of you occasionally visit my blog, and while I feel small for only offering these rambling excuses, I appreciate you.
In any case, this is just my reflection and not meant to shift emotions onto anyone else. Writing like this brings me some comfort, even if it’s scattered.
It seems courage feels different in your 20s and 30s.
I started this post in early December and am only now finishing it. I worry for everyone—the weather is freezing, and I imagine many hearts are not at ease.
I hope you’re keeping warm with not just a padded jacket but also scarves, ear muffs, and even heated seat cushions. Remember to stretch often; stress is the root of many illnesses, though I, too, only manage to try and fail.
For those who’ve missed my blog as a small part of my life, I’m writing again, though my thoughts are still all over the place.
Lately, I’ve found joy in asking how others are doing and cherishing uneventful days. Though we exchange shy smiles and promise uncertain reunions with “See you again,” the moments I share with fans have the power to shape my days.
I even bought some slightly overwhelming sleep socks…
In the end, I simply wish for us all to stay safe, feel less cold, and be less hurt. May we bury our tangled feelings this winter and let them bloom into flowers in the spring to come.”
