Jo Bo Ah Shares Feelings About First Project Following Marriage
Actress Jo Bo Ah has shared her thoughts on her first project since getting married.
On the 13th of May, a press conference was held at the Ramada Sindorim Hotel in Seoul for the upcoming Netflix series “Dear Hongrang.” Director Kim Hong Sun and actors Lee Jae Wook, Jo Bo Ah, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, and Park Byung Eun were in attendance.
“Dear Hongrang” is a mystery melodrama set in the Joseon era. It follows Hongrang (played by Lee Jae Wook), the son of Joseon’s largest merchant group, who returns after being missing for 12 years with no memory of his past. Only his half-sister Jae Yi (played by Jo Bo Ah) suspects his true identity, and the drama explores the mysterious emotions that begin to form between the two.
Regarding her return to acting through “Dear Hongrang” after marriage, Jo Bo Ah said, “We filmed over a long period of time. With post-production also taking a while, the drama is finally ready to be shown to you all. Because the production took so long, I feel even more nervous and excited. I hope everyone looks forward to it.” She chose not to comment on “Knock-Off,” which was initially her first post-marriage project.
Jo Bo Ah previously announced her marriage to a non-celebrity partner in October last year. At the time, she even postponed her honeymoon to focus on filming the Disney+ series “Knock-Off,” showing her strong commitment to the project. However, due to recent controversies involving lead actor Kim Soo Hyun’s personal life, the release of “Knock-Off” has been indefinitely postponed.
“Dear Hongrang” is set to premiere on May 16.
