One Of The Biggest Hallyu Actresses To Make Her 1st YouTube Show Debut Appearing On Her Close Friend’s Show

Actress Jun Ji Hyun is set to appear on her close friend Hong Jin Kyung’s YouTube channel, “Study King Genius.”

On October 30, a representative from her agency PEACHY told OSEN, “Actress Jun Ji Hyun will appear on Hong Jin Kyung’s YouTube channel. Filming has not yet taken place; she has agreed to appear, and schedules are currently being coordinated.”

This will be Jun Ji Hyun’s first official appearance on YouTube since her debut in 1997. Previously, she briefly appeared in a video on senior actress Lee Mi Sook’s channel, “Mi Sook-yun Mi Sook,” but that was not considered a formal appearance. The clip only included a moment from the Disney+ original series “Tempest” press conference where both actresses were present.

Jun Ji Hyun decided to appear on the channel not for promotional activities but out of personal friendship and loyalty to Hong Jin Kyung. Hong Jin Kyung is a popular YouTuber with her channel “Study King Genius,” which has over 1.76 million subscribers.

Hong Jin Kyung has openly mentioned her friendship with Jun Ji Hyun since appearing in the SBS drama “My Love from the Star.” Fans are particularly excited as this will likely mark the first time a two-shot of Jun Ji Hyun and Hong Jin Kyung will be revealed on the channel.

Recently, Jun Ji Hyun returned to audiences through “Tempest” and will next appear in director Yeon Sang Ho’s new film, “Gunche.”
