Beloved Actress Surprises With Pregnancy Reveal Accepting An Award At The 2024 SBS Drama Awards
Actress Jung Yu Min made a surprise pregnancy announcement during her acceptance speech for the Best Supporting Actress award.
On the afternoon of December 21, the ‘2024 SBS Drama Awards’ was held at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, with Shin Dong Yeop, Kim Hye Yoon, and Kim Ji Yeon (Bona) serving as hosts.
Jung Yu Min won the award in the Mini-Series Genre/Action category for her performance in “Connection.”
In particular, Jung Yu Min shared, “I’m so grateful. This year has been a truly special one for me. After wrapping up filming for ‘Connection,’ I got married, and now I’m here with a baby on the way.” Her heartfelt revelation surprised everyone in attendance.

She continued, “This is my first time attending the SBS Drama Awards, and I’m so thankful for the invitation. We began filming ‘Connection’ last year in the cold winter. Every shoot was filled with respect and collaboration as we worked together—directors, staff, and esteemed senior actors—brainstorming and practicing to create meaningful scenes. Those moments warmed my heart despite the freezing weather. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who made ‘Connection’ such an incredible project.”
Jung Yu Min also revealed, “The baby’s nickname is ‘Blessing.’ I chose it because I hope that everyone surrounding Blessing will be filled with happiness and love, and that the baby will grow up in that same environment. I wish for everyone, including our viewers, to be full of blessings as well. I will take good care of myself and continue to grow as an actress who works hard and remains sincere in her craft.”
