Beloved Korean Actress Loses Child At 21 Weeks Pregnant, Shares Heartbreaking Message
Actress Kang Eun Bi is moving many hearts after sharing the heartbreaking news that she lost her first child, whom she had conceived with great difficulty at the age of 40, at 21 weeks of pregnancy.
On the 15th of Januarys, through a video released on her YouTube channel, Kang Eun Bi shared the tearful phone call she had with her husband Byeon Jun Pil at the time of the miscarriage. She then began by saying, “On January 3, I said goodbye to Sansami,” and revealed in detail the tense and painful process she had gone through.
According to the video, the tragedy began on December 29 during a detailed ultrasound examination. While being told that everything was normal, she was suddenly informed that the amniotic fluid had decreased and was transferred for emergency care. However, two days later, she received the devastating news that the amniotic fluid level was “0.” Recalling the situation at the time, Kang Eun Bi said, “Because I was so ignorant, I had to make a decision after hearing that the baby was enduring pain because of my fault,” and added, “When I was told that the baby was completely dried up against the placenta and that the lungs could no longer develop, everything collapsed.”
On the day she reached 21 weeks, Kang Eun Bi sent her baby away through induced labor. She was shown sobbing in self-blame, saying, “I couldn’t protect my baby. No, it’s not that I couldn’t protect the baby,” which deepened the sense of sorrow. She shared her grief, saying, “There was nothing I could do, all I could do was cry out loud.”
Having personally held a funeral for her son, Kang Eun Bi addressed her departed child, saying, “Thank you for being with mom for those five months that were short yet long,” and added, “If you come back to me again as my son, mom will definitely remember you, never forget you, and prepare to meet you again in a healthier way. I love you, my baby,” leaving viewers deeply moved.
