Famous Japanese Actor Cancels Scheduled Event In South Korea Following Two-Timing Controversy
Actor Kentaro Sakaguchi, who has been embroiled in a “two-timing controversy,” has had his Busan International Film Festival schedule canceled.
On the 15th of September, the 30th Busan International Film Festival side told Ilgan Sports, “The ‘Final Piece’ press conference has inevitably been canceled due to the guest’s circumstances. We ask for your generous understanding for the sudden schedule change. We will provide guidance again regarding schedules and interviews that will be carried out in the future.”
Kentaro Sakaguchi was scheduled to hold a press conference for his new work “Final Piece” in Busan on the 18th. It was meant to be a place to talk about the movie, and in addition to Sakaguchi Kentaro, Watanabe Ken was also scheduled to attend.
This schedule change is interpreted as an aftermath of the recently raised “two-timing controversy” of Sakaguchi Kentaro. According to Japan’s Weekly Bunshun, Kentaro Sakaguchi has been living together in Tokyo with a non-celebrity woman who is three years older. The woman is known to be a hair and makeup staff member, and the two have reportedly been living together for over four years.
Along with this, Weekly Bunshun also reported the possibility of Kentaro Sakaguchi two-timing with a popular actress. The actress’s side admitted to Weekly Bunshun, “It’s true that (she and Kentaro Sakaguchi) were dating. I didn’t know he was cohabiting with another person.”
Kentaro Sakaguchi is a model-turned-actor from Japan who also has a strong fan base in Korea. His representative works include the films “The 100th Love with You,” “Tonight, at the Romance Theater,” and “The Last 10 Years.” Last year, he also played the male lead in the Korean work, Coupang Play series “What Comes After Love.”
