Winners of the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards
Kim Go Eun has won her first acting Grand Prize in her 14 years since debut.
The 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, held on the evening of July 31 at Paradise City in Incheon and hosted by Jeon Hyun Moo and Yoona, revealed its full list of honors across a wide range of content and performers.
The honor of the Grand Prize went to Kim Go Eun, who delivered an outstanding performance in “You and Everything Else.” It marks her first-ever Grand Prize at an awards ceremony. Her eyes welled up the moment she stepped on stage. It was a moment that shone a light on all the hard work she’s put in across countless projects, dating back to her bold performance in the film “Eungyo.”
This year, she connected endlessly with viewers and audiences through works like “The Price of Confession,” “You and Everything Else,” and “Yumi’s Cells Season 3.” She said she felt she had made it to this stage thanks to so many of her seniors, promising, “Someday, I’ll try to become that kind of senior myself,” and expressing her gratitude to everyone on set. She added, “I’ve never once taken any of my projects for granted,” and vowed to keep working tirelessly going forward.
