“Queen Of Tears” Star Kim Ji Won Picks This As Her Next Project, Why Fans Are Already Super Excited
SBS has unveiled the lineup of its upcoming drama “Doctor X.” Actors Kim Ji Won, Lee Jung Eun, Son Hyun Joo, and Kim Woo Seok have joined the main lineup, raising expectations.
SBS’s new Friday–Saturday drama “Doctor X” is a medical noir that depicts Doctor X Gye Soo Jung, a doctor who catches doctors, a doctor who proves what a doctor is solely through skill, performing surgery on the medical power rotten with corruption.
“Doctor X” side raises expectations by revealing a powerful main lineup equipped with both acting skills and box-office power. For the title role “Doctor X Gye Soo Jung,” Kim Ji Won has been cast. Gye Soo Jung, played by Kim Ji Won, is the top tier of Jang Hee Sook’s doctor dispatch agency and a genius surgeon dispatched to fill the vacancy in the surgery department at Guseo University Hospital. She is the “mad dog” of the operating room who shows everything only through surgical skill, a person who places the corruption of medical power onto the operating table.
Actress Lee Jung Eun takes the role of Jang Hee Sook, the head of the “Jang Hee Sook doctor dispatch agency” who loves money. Son Hyun Joo appears as Bu Seung Kwon, the director of the branch hospital of Guseo University Hospital. Lastly, rising actor Kim Woo Seok plays Park Tae Kyung, a gold-spoon intern whose hospital life becomes tightly twisted after meeting Gye Soo Jung.
The medical noir “Doctor X” is scheduled to air in 2026.
