Rising Korean Actor Rumored To Be Dating A Japanese Actress, Agency Denies
Rising actor Kim Moo Joon denies dating rumors with Japanese actress Nagano Mei after a viral report!
On April 23, 9ato Entertainment, the agency of actor Kim Moo Joon, responded to the dating rumors involving Japanese actress Nagano Mei by stating, “They are just close colleagues.”
The rumors began after Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun reported that Nagano Mei was allegedly involved in an affair with married actor Tanaka Kei. The two reportedly became close after working together on a 2021 film and have maintained a romantic relationship since last year.
The magazine further claimed that Nagano Mei had repeatedly invited a Korean actor—her current co-star in a Japanese drama—to her home, raising suspicions of a love triangle. Speculation soon arose that the unnamed Korean actor was Kim Moo Joon.
Kim Moo Joon and Nagano Mei are currently starring together in the TBS drama “Caster,” which premiered on April 13.
Born in 1999, Kim Moo Joon gained attention through roles in “Nevertheless,” “Love All Play,” and “My Dearest.” He has continued expanding his career in Japan, appearing in last year’s “Black Pean 2” and now in “Caster.” He’s also confirmed to appear in the upcoming SBS drama “Just Kiss Me!” set to premiere in September.
Nagano Mei, born in 1999, is a well-known Japanese actress who debuted as a child actress in 2009. She has starred in numerous popular works including “Daytime Shooting Star,” “My Love Story!!,” “Mr. Hiiragi’s Homeroom,” and “Unicorn ni Notte.”
Nagano Mei and Tanaka Kei previously starred as stepdaughter and stepfather in the 2024 film “And, the Baton Was Passed.”
