Kim Sae Ron Revealed To Have Received A 2nd Certified Letter Which She Hid From Family, Family Officially Files Lawsuit Against Lee Jin Ho + More

Kim Sae Ron’s family has filed a defamation lawsuit against YouTuberr Lee Jin Ho and is urging strict legal action. Additionally, they have requested an apology from Kim Soo Hyun.

On the afternoon of March 17, Kim Sae Ron’s legal representative, lawyer Bu Ji Seok from Law Firm Buyu, held a press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Present at the event were Bu Ji Seok, Kwon Young Chan, head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, and Kim Se Ui, the representative of Garo Sero Research Institute.

The press conference was held to explain the background of the lawsuit before officially filing the complaint against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for spreading false information and defamation.

Bu Ji Seok stated, “In our hearts, we wish we could file charges of murder, but defamation does not legally qualify as a method of homicide according to precedent. However, we hope that the connection between the YouTuber’s false statements and the late Kim Sae Ron’s death will be fully considered in sentencing, leading to the strictest punishment possible.”

Explaining the reason for Kim Sae Ron’s social media post before her passing, he said, “On March 24, 2024, the late Kim Sae Ron posted past photos of herself with her former boyfriend, Kim Soo Hyun, because she had received a debt collection notice from his agency, Gold Medalist. She initially believed Kim Soo Hyun had no involvement in the matter, so she tried reaching out to him. When he did not respond, she posted old photos in the hope that it would prompt him to contact her.”

Bu Ji Seok further stated, “We do not know under whose influence YouTuber Lee Jin Ho acted, but he denied the past romantic relationship between Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun. Furthermore, he spread falsehoods that portrayed Kim Sae Ron as an unusual woman, pushing her into severe psychological distress that ultimately led to her tragic choice.”

He added, “Since Kim Sae Ron’s passing, Lee Jin Ho has been deleting his past videos, which is a clear act of evidence destruction. We strongly urge a search and seizure operation and request his immediate arrest.”

On this day, the bereaved family also addressed Kim Soo Hyun’s side.

Lawyer Bu stated, “At first, the family hoped that Kim Soo Hyun would acknowledge the romantic relationship to refute the false claims made by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho. However, Kim Soo Hyun’s repeated false statements made things even harder for the family. We now ask for a sincere apology, even at this moment.”

He continued, “After Kim Soo Hyun’s agency sent the first proof of debt notice, the deceased sent a message to Kim Soo Hyun, pleading for help. However, Kim Soo Hyun did not respond at all. Instead, through his agency, he sent a second proof of debt notice to the deceased. To briefly explain its content, unlike Kim Soo Hyun’s recent statement that it was sent due to concerns about breach of trust, the document essentially demanded that the debt be repaid within a set period. It also included instructions prohibiting the deceased from directly contacting Kim Soo Hyun or other actors under the agency, along with threats of legal action for posting the photo.”

Kwon Young Chan, the head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, revealed that while sorting through the deceased’s belongings, the family discovered the second proof of debt notice from Gold Medalist. He stated, “The document contained warnings that if similar photos were posted on social media, if any contact was made with actors from the agency, or if any harm was done to the drama Queen of Tears, the deceased would be held fully responsible for all financial damages.”

Lawyer Bu further stated, “After the second proof of debt notice, there was not a single instance where Kim Soo Hyun contacted the deceased, nor did any other actors from his agency. We cannot understand why he is now publicly issuing a statement, asking the bereaved family to reach out to him. We are currently reviewing possible legal actions against Kim Soo Hyun.”

The new revelations is angering netizens even more. Gold Medalist has not responded to the new demands or revelations.
