Kim Seon Ho’s Agency Releases 3rd Statement Regarding His Tax Evasion Allegations And One-Person Corporation
Fantagio has released an additional statement regarding actor Kim Seon Ho’s one-person corporation.
Previously, On the 1st of February, one media outlet reported that Kim Seon Ho had established a performance planning company at the same address as his residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and had listed himself as CEO.
The report claimed that the company’s internal director and auditor were registered as his father and mother, respectively, and that the company was not registered as a popular culture and arts planning business. During the operation of the corporation, Kim Seon Ho allegedly paid salaries to his parents, with the money later being transferred back to him. However, at the time, Fantagio denied any wrongdoings on his part and stated the corporation is being shut down.
Due to the agency’s statement, allegations did not subside, then, a representative from his current agency Fantagio explained on the 3rd, “It was only a temporary settlement (received from the former agency) after the corporation was established in January 2024.”
This made it seem as if Fantagio was attempting to shift the blame onto his former agency. In response, the former agency told TenAsia, “We only deposited the money into the account requested by the actor.”
This heightened the accusations even more.
Then, on the 4th, Fantagio released a new statement regarding the issue and said, “We would like to clarify additional facts and our position regarding Kim Seon Ho’s one-person corporation that has recently been reported.”
According to Fantagio, Kim Seon Ho established the corporation in January 2024 for the purpose of acting activities and theater production. From the time of the corporation’s establishment until he signed an exclusive contract with Fantagio in February 2025, settlements for his activities were paid through the corporation.
However, Kim Seon Ho became aware that operating the corporation could cause misunderstandings and subsequently suspended its operation. Fantagio explained that there have been absolutely no substantial activities conducted through the corporation for over the past year.
Fantagio stated, “Since the exclusive contract was signed in February 2025, all settlement payments have been made directly to the actor as an individual,” adding, “The corporation has no relationship whatsoever with the contract or activities between our company and Kim Seon Ho.”
The agency further explained, “As a preemptive measure to correct his uninformed handling of corporate operations at the time, Kim Seon Ho returned all past corporate card usage benefits, family salaries, and the corporate vehicle,” and added that “For the amounts previously settled through the corporation, he has completed additional payment of personal income tax on top of the already paid corporate tax.”
Fantagio also revealed that the corporation is currently undergoing closure procedures, with the administrative process nearing completion.
The agency said, “Kim Seon Ho is deeply reflecting on the fact that he maintained the corporation without sufficient understanding of its establishment and operation,” and added, “We sincerely apologize for causing concern through this matter.”
Fantagio concluded by saying, “We will manage and respond more carefully and responsibly in all aspects of our artists’ activities going forward.”
Kim Seon Ho is set to appear in Tving’s “Unfriend”, tvN’s “The Assemblyman Protects Us”, and Disney Plus’ “Bewitched”, all of which are scheduled for release.
