Filming for the JTBC drama “Rediscovery of Love,” which was scheduled to be released in the second half of the year, has been suspended.

A JTBC representative told MHN Sports that filming for the drama would be halted for approximately one month. The representative explained, “We determined that reorganization was necessary to improve the quality and completeness of the script. We also took the monsoon season into consideration.”

“Rediscovery of Love” attracted attention after the casting of Kim So Yeon, Kim Ji Suk, Yoon Hyun Min, and Hwang Woo Seul Hye was officially announced on the 10th. However, just around ten days later, the production announced plans for restructuring.

Recently, JTBC announced that it had applied for corporate rehabilitation proceedings after failing to repay debts, including promissory notes, totaling 20.6 billion won. Following the announcement, concerns have been raised about possible production suspensions and unpaid wages, leading to growing speculation about a “JTBC crisis.”

In particular, “Rediscovery of Love” is being jointly produced by Studio Him, Alchemist Media, and SLL, a subsidiary of ContentreeJoongAng that has entered court-led restructuring. As the production suspension coincides with the ongoing concerns surrounding the company, interest has grown regarding the real reason behind the halt.

“Rediscovery of Love” is a melodrama about a divorced couple who end up living in the same house and commuting to the same hotel, leading them to rediscover each other. Kim Ji Suk plays the divorced husband Lee Dong Jin, while Kim So Yeon plays his ex-wife Jang Ha Kyung. Yoon Hyun Min and Hwang Woo Seul Hye will portray intertwined relationships involving reunited first loves and long-time friends with hidden feelings.
