Famous Korean Actor Under Fire For Voting On Post Ranking Female Kpop Idols’ Bodies, Agency Apologises
Actor Kim Sung Cheol has come under fire after netizens found out about his Instagram activities. Thus, his side has apologized for it.
On the 3rd of January, Kim Sung Cheol’s agency, Story J Company, told Xports News, “It was indeed a mistake. We have no words to offer other than our sincere apologies.”
They continued, “We had no idea that the channel in question was controversial. Once we became aware, we canceled the action, but by then, screenshots had already spread. Since the content involved other artists, we deeply regret causing them harm. We have apologized to the respective agencies for our careless actions. We will be more cautious in our social media activities moving forward and strive to prevent such mistakes from happening again.”
Recently, screenshots circulated in online communities, showing that Kim Sung Cheol had voted on a social media post compiling videos that allegedly sexualized girl group members, leading to controversy.
Kim Sung Cheol is currently performing in the musicals “Monte Cristo” and “Jekyll & Hyde” and is set to appear in the upcoming film “Pagua” (directed by Min Kyu Dong), scheduled for release this year.
